BR20 Part B specifies the manufacturing requirement for flags and pennants and covers such detail as:

• Material types:
•  Woven Polyester bunting (UK/SC/4767), Knitted polyester applique (UK/SC/4951). 
• Sewing Thread, colouration, construction, and ticket size.
• Cord and fittings.
• Webbing
• Colouration, fastness of light, wet and dry rub.
• Method of manufacture: 
• Size
• Hem and seam type, including size, stitch count, number of rows
• Applique; materials, stitch type size and count.
• Print; dye type, light fastness fastness of wetting.
• Fitting of headings.
